The Gewa Air oblong violin case is a new violin case from Gewa that features an energy-absorbing thermoplastic shell that is extremely strong and lightweight. Gewa Air cases are manufactured with a special bonding process using heat, and the foam between the inner and outer shells is injected under high pressure.
Other similar but inferior case designers use a different process whereby the already finished materials are later bent into shape, which causes inconsistencies in material thickness leading to thinner edges that break more easily. The Gewa Air not only provides excellent protection from the bumps and bruises of traveling between venues, it also provides excellent insulation against both cold and heat.
